From an early age, Jason Rapert has shown a commitment to his community. When he and his wife, Laurie, arrived in Conway at age 18 to attend the University of Central Arkansas, that didn’t change. Jason served on the Student Judicial Board and served as a congressional intern in the office of former Second Congressional District Representative Ray Thornton.
Jason and his wife of 28 years, Laurie, moved to Conway in 1990, where they started their business, their family, and their careers.
Small Business Owner
Jason knows what it’s like to start a business and have to make ends meet. His career as a financial advisor was built in Conway where he ran a small business helping other investors and business owners.
A UCA graduate and the husband of a school teacher, Jason has been active as a member of the UCA Foundation Purple Circle, served on the Conway Symphony Orchestra board, the Conway Christian School Foundation board, and as president of Conway Noon Rotary Club. He was elected to the Arkansas State Senate in 2010, re-elected in 2012 and again in 2014.
Respected State and National Leader
As our state senator, Jason has earned various awards for leadership, including the AARP Legislative Award, the Advocate for Justice Award, Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce Legislative Leader Award, Arkansas Chiefs of Police Legislator of the Year Award, Arkansas Pharmacy Association Legislative Leadership Award, and FFA Foundation Award.
Due to his leadership on the Senate Insurance & Commerce Committee, Jason was elected to serve on the National Council of Insurance Legislators where he now serves as President.
Man of Faith
Jason has been ordained as a Christian minister, and is the founder of a humanitarian mission organization, where's he's personally led missions in Ghana, West Africa.
